The Who of 1989

Sign on the 4th Floor of the Research Building
Making the History of 1989 was built by a cadre of respected digital historians and programmers. Content contributions were made by established professors from a host of universities. Made possible by funding from National Endowment for the Humanities and the German Historical Institute, the project was also a collaboration with the Digital National Security Archive and the Cold War International History Project.

The Center had already established a track record for building exemplary instructional websites. World History Matters and Liberty, Equality, Fraternity: Exploring the French Revolution provided the Center with the experience and talent needed for the new endeavor.
