I am a Digital History Research Fellow at the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media, and a Ph.D. graduate student at George Mason University in theDepartment of History. My major research field is American History with emphasis on the nineteenth century. My minor fields are digital history and gender history, and I am also completing a graduate certificate in Women and Gender Studies.
In August 2012, I completed my Master of Arts in History at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. My major research paper investigated the potential uses of augmented reality applications for history representation and massively collaborative histories. While at Brock, I worked with Dr. Kevin Kee, current director of the Centre for Digital Humanities and Associate Professor of History. Our work focused primarily on emerging digital methodologies in humanities research.
From 2007, I studied at Brock University and in 2011 graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and English Language and Literature. I also completed a minor in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse Studies.
