Building The Lost Museum

The NEH grant proposal for Who Built America? and Landscapes in Time argued that the strength of the collaboration between ASHP/CML and CHNM came not only from the involvement of new media pioneers, but also serious academics and educators. This kind of collaboration highlights the early days of digital humanities centers as places that benefit from the interests, skills, and creativity of a varied group of people. The ambitious vision of this group and the uncharted territory of historical gaming at this time led to a five-year development period during which time the game adapted to the needs of developers, funders, and users.

This exhibit breaks down the development of The Lost Museum into two sections: The Content and The Tools.
